Mission Statement
The KS Choi Foundation for the Arts exists to empower our community and inspire future generations through the discipline and values of Taekwondo. By fostering respect, perseverance, and unity, we create a positive environment where children and families can grow stronger together. With the support of our donors, we expand access to training, provide scholarships, and build programs that transform lives—ensuring our impact reaches far beyond the mat and strengthens the heart of Palos Verdes for years to come.

At KS Choi Foundation, our mission extends far beyond the competition floor. Through our nonprofit initiatives and reaching our goal of $150,000, we plan to:

Expand or relocate our school to a larger space, providing afterschool services, additional mat space and a community center for students and families.
Award scholarships to promote martial arts training in schools and communities with limited resources
Support high-level athletes who are pursuing excellence in Taekwondo and beyond
Fund opportunities for students in the fine arts, recognizing the value of creativity alongside athletic discipline
Organize an annual cultural and training trip to Korea, giving students the chance to connect with Taekwondo’s roots and traditions while also receiving elite level training.
Support American Taekwondo athletes with their registrations, travel, room and boarding through selective scholarships, helping them reach their fullest potential.

Each of these efforts works toward one goal: empowering the next generation to grow in skill, character, and confidence—both on and off the mat.
